Sometimes a wedding day is defined not in the posed moments, but in tears of a proud mom & dad, in the love of a family who have traveled thousands of miles, in the warm hug and blessing of a granddad, in the gifts of cultural traditions and in the sheer joy on the faces of lifelong friends.
“May the road rise to meet your feet may the wind ever be at your back” an Irish blessing given by granddad.

In a month filled with snow storms, one amazing, beautiful day came to DC and warmed all of our hearts. Â We would like to express our special thanks to Seetha, Justin, their wonderful family and friends for an absolutely amazing day.
Our thanks also to Michael Deltette and the entire staff of the Park Hyatt for every moment of an absolutely perfect day.
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us everyday;
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Love and missed and very dear.”
And so the day began with lovingly inscribed cards, grandma’s linen handkerchief, the lace from mom’s wedding dress, a saxophone and hot pink blues brothers glasses.
We would like to extend our special thanks to Anne, Ben their wonderful wedding party and families for a day filled with joy and beauty.
With our heartfelt thanks to the Father Kelly and Rabbi Biber who have spent a lifetime building spiritual bridges and who have given so much to all of us who have crossed those bridges with much love and joy along the way.
To the amazing staff of the Monaco Hotel and especially Buddee Clinton who makes miraculous days seem like a breeze. Â This day was perfection.
A shirred satin gown is not just a work of art.  It is also a labor of love and that is how the day started with a million laces and a lot of laughter.  Marcia carried a  bouquet handmade of satin, pearls and crystal. Joe made their stunning chocolate wedding cake in the days before the wedding.  Marcia’s family hand assembled the bouquets as she arrived to the mansion.  The wedding shawl of Joe’s mom became the covering for the gift table. Everything about this day had a loving, very personal touch.
Oxon Hill is a stunning Neo-Georgian mansion overlooking the National Harbor.  It is far and away one of the most beautiful settings in DC. The property was first owned by a colonial era family who built their home in 1711. The current home was built in 1929 for Sumner Welles, U.S. Undersecretary of State. Roosevelt and Churchill were both guests.  To this day the mansion has a regal feel with sprawling gardens, fountains and statuary.
Marcia and Joe were married in the gardens at sunset. The day was sunny and 70, genuinely perfect in every way.
We would like to express our thanks to Marcia and Tom their family and friends for making this day so joyful, fun and beautiful.
We would like to express our thanks to Kelley, David and their wonderful families for an absolutely amazing day at Thorpewood.
What a joy it was to experience a wedding in the woods under a chuppah made from a prayer shawl —Â just as simple, inspiring and beautiful as it would have been a century ago.
Thorpewood emanates a sense of majestic calm with hundred year old trees, rolling streams, a stone bridge and a working farm. Â Kelley and David chose a place of peace where the hubub of daily life stops for a moment, and one can experience nature. Later, Thorpewood rocked with dancing into the wee hours.

Wedding days are filled with miracles and memories. Â Mom and dad pause for a moment to remember the childhood of this amazing little girl, Â or the first days when they realized he had become a man, strong, wise and independent.
For a bride and groom there is a memory in every single face, a beloved Grandpa, nieces and nephews who bring so much joy, to a BFF who shares the precious memories of childhood, elementary school, growing up and college.
A wedding day brings together all who are most precious to a couple. Â This was Crisitin and Brian’s beautiful fall wedding day filled with love, laughter and memories made anew.

Who would imagine in a month of rain that one day in November would turn out to be so beautiful, a perfect 70 degrees, filled with autumn color, in a rustic, peaceful location. This was Sara and Andres’s wedding day, filled with love, laughter and many beautiful babies!
